Three pubs, a good coffee shop and the village green.
Nottage is just down the road from the park, with three pubs and brw., a lovely little coffee shop in the village.
The Farmers Arms has been here since 1858 and is a good choice for Sunday lunch. The Swan Inn is a family-run pub serving homemade food and real ales, with a beer garden. Then there’s the Rose and Crown, right by the village green, with a big enclosed garden that’s lovely when the sun is out and a proper fire when it isn’t.
If it’s coffee you’re after, head to brw. in the village.
In summer, there’s a farmland path from the park into Nottage, so you can leave the car behind and walk in.
There is a course at the gate, and two more within two miles.
The Grove runs along the park boundary, and Royal Porthcawl and Pyle and Kenfig are each inside two miles.
