The location
Rest Bay is seven minutes away. Nottage is even closer.
The beaches
Rest Bay is two miles from the gate, about seven minutes in the car. Six more are within a short drive.
Porthcawl
The harbour, the breakwater and the front. Junction 37 of the M4 is under ten minutes the other way.
The golf, and the village
The Grove, a parkland course open to anyone, runs along the park boundary, and Royal Porthcawl and Pyle and Kenfig are both inside two miles. Nottage village is just down the road, with three pubs, the Farmers Arms, Swan Inn and Rose and Crown, plus brw. for coffee. In summer, you can walk into the village from the park along the farmland path.
