SWIFT · TWIN UNIT LODGE
Where the family lands.
Forty two feet by twenty, three bedrooms, the third of them a triple bunk room so seven can stay. In the butterscotch scheme.
The lounge runs front to back with a feature TV wall, backlit shelving and an electric fire, and the kitchen sits under a roof Velux so the far end never feels like the back of the lodge. A wraparound corner bench seats everyone at one table.
An L-shaped matte kitchen with shaker doors and a breakfast bar, a five-burner gas hob with a central wok burner, a full size dishwasher and a wine cooler. King size lift-up bed in the main bedroom with an en-suite shower room, twin beds and the bunk room behind. Built to BS3632 residential specification, with 30kW gas combi-boiler central heating and a wireless programmable thermostat for the ten-month season.
The price on the lodge is the price you pay: sited, fully connected and decked, with the essentials already taken care of.
Gas, electricity and water are metered separately. Holiday use only.
A small, privately held park on the Glamorgan coast. Twenty-five lodges, eighty pitches, set in countryside between Royal Porthcawl, Pyle & Kenfig and the Grove. Quiet by design. Rest Bay is a few minutes from the gate, and the harbour and town two miles south. Cardiff, forty-five minutes. The rest of the world, a little further out.
Come and walk through one. No photograph gets this right. We are open every day, ten until five.
